Topic: Jewish history, Jewish values
Target Audience: Can be used in the classroom, for adults only, or as a parent-child family education program. Children ages 4-9 will require parent involvement.
Time Frame: A group of 30 families will need 1-2 hours.
Staff: auctioneer and cashier
Overview: Participants evaluate attributes and allocating resources to learn about Jewish historical figures.
Goals:
- To increase knowledge of Jewish history,
- To articulate personal and family values, and
- To have enjoyable Jewish time together.
Participant Handouts: auction form, information sheets, a pencil, Pitome shekels

Creative ways to fund this program: These materials are completely reusable, so ask your educator or rabbi to pay for the workshop. The entire program is personalized with your site’s name, making you guys look grrrreat! Do you have an enthusiastic family or willing grandparents? Ask them to be an “angel” donor and we’ll personalize the program with their name too.
