WORKSHOP – When is God

$95.00

by Marthajoy Aft

This exciting program presents Rabbi Lawrence Kushner’s approach to experiencing God’s presence as a way to communicate WHEN is God. This program is multi-faceted to keep participants learning in multiple modalities. Program elements include:

  • how do we notice God?
  • guided meditation: personal experiences with God,
  • putting the biblical family tree in context,
  • in-depth, guided text study of the biblical ancestors,
  • small group discussions and exploration of midrashim (explanations of the rabbis),
  • applied learning: experiential bibliodrama with paper bag dramatics,
  • using our learning to explore the Amidah, and then…
  • focused prayer, incorporating all the great learning that just happened!

This program was designed by a master educator, Marthajoy Aft. It is an intricate weaving of knowledge, teaching craft, and irresistible creativity. Novice or knowledgeable, participants will learn so much, and come away with new understandings of our ancestors and a new relationship to the WHEN of God. Don’t miss the opportunity to deliver an awesome experience to your learners.

Creative ways to fund this program: These materials are completely reusable, so ask your educator or rabbi to pay for the workshop. The entire program is personalized with your site’s name, making you guys look grrrreat! Do you have an enthusiastic family or willing grandparents? Ask them to be an “angel” donor and we’ll personalize the program with their name too.
